Going Home...

Today Aiden and I got to go home from the hospital. We could have stayed another day but we were ready to get home and get on with life. We made our first adventure to Target to pick up some drugs for mom and some extra stuff we just didn't have.

Meeting the Grandparents

The grandparents came out to visit Aiden in the hospital.

Grandma and Grandpa Little were there first.
Later Grandma Little came back and brought Great Grandma.

The next day Grandma and Grandpa Prewit drove up to visit too.

Aiden Cranwill Dolezal

Our newest little boy came into the world today at 7:49 am. He must have known he has two big brothers at home ready to play because he is a big guy. He weighs 8lb 14oz and is 21 1/2 in long.

Adam did a great job capturing the boys' expressions. I think they like him...what do you think?

My Sweet Xavier

Today after grocery shopping, Xavier and I were in the car driving home. The radio was playing, "You're Beautiful" by James Blunt. Xavier says to me, "Momma, I think this song is about you." I asked why. And he said, "cause your beautiful." How sweet is that!!!

Easter Sunday

Here are the boys first thing Sunday morning with their Easter Baskets. There is just something so sweet and funny about hearing,

"Look, the Easter Bunny came!"

Here are the boys right before church in their Easter outfits.

These are the pictures after I told them to pretend like they love each other...they just couldn't stop laughing.

After church we went over to the Littles for dinner and an Easter egg hunt for the boys. Xavier fell asleep during dinner, he curled up on his chair and rested his head on my baby belly. He of course woke up in time for the Easter egg hunt though.

Easter Eggs

Today we dyed Easter eggs. We got a kit that was "Star Wars" themed so the boys had fun making their eggs fight like Darth Vador and Yoda. We had some small fights over stickers, but I think we got it worked out.

Xavier, Swamp Man

Wednesday it was really nice out and Xavier wanted to go out to play. He then brings in a water pitcher to "water" the plants...which is actually a small area of dirt that I try to grow a little vegetable garden in every year. Damon then decides to go out as well and water. I later go downstairs to see Xavier looking more like a swamp man than a little boy. Fortunately, Adam was going to be home in about 15 minutes so he could carry him upstairs and clean him up.

Later that night we were driving to Jim's. Xavier starts being a little bossy and Damon reminds him that Momma's the boss. (Because I'm the momma and I'm pregnant. And yes, Damon's my favorite because he tells Adam this too and I love it!) Then Xavier starts saying that he is also pregnant and that he is the boss over his baby. I ask him who got him pregnant and he said his little friend Rachel got him pregnant. I asked how. He said, "Because she sat by me at church."

Haircuts

So Thursday Xavier decided to take a pair of my scissors and cut his hair. I ask him why, "So it would look good." However, I don't think random bald spots is really the look that he was going for.

Friday, Adam shaved his head...pretty close to bald actually. I can't help but laugh everytime I look at him because it just makes his ears stick out even more then they did before. Now he looks like my Uncle Rae who everyone called Dumbo as a kid.

What is funnier to me is that Damon liked Xavier's new hair and decided he wanted a haircut too. So Adam shaved Damon's hair off too. Hopefully it will warm up soon and they won't get colds.

How we spend the Sabbath...

We ordered a dresser and crib for baby Aiden. Saturday Adam put the dresser together, leaving a HUGE box for the boys to play in. They carried it upstairs to their room and started playing in it. I can't remember what they were pretending it was but it sounded like they were having a great time crawling in and out of it.

Well they then decide to climb in it and take turns pushing it down the stairs. Damon wasn't quite brave enough to do it but Xavier did it quite a few times.

By Sunday, the box had been split in two pieces and they were "sleding" on it down the stairs. They also were putting their stuffed animals on there and taking them along for the ride. This was all prior to church. They found it hilarious.

Xavier also gave his first talk today in Primary. He was soooo cute. That kid makes me laugh so hard. Adam helped him with it, which means Adam helped him write it that morning. When we get to sacrament we realize that we left the talk on the table. It was pretty simple so Adam could wing it pretty easily. It was funny though, when the Primary President got up to conduct she announced the two speakers. She said something like, "Our first speaker is Rachel Tesene and then Xavier will be our second speaker." Xavier then interupts her to say, "Dolezal, Xavier Dolezal." I couldn't help but laugh...he cracks me up so easily.

Prizes

Well it is time to get Damon to stop sucking his thumb. So the kid has been asking for a BIG Optimus Prime toy since about birth soooo we decide that it would be a good reward for giving up his thumb. The deal is he has to not suck his thumb consistently for 30 days. I made a chart for him and we went to Target and had his picture taken with his toy. So every morning when he gets up, we cut off a piece of the picture and put it on the chart. We also bought this nail polish that helps stop thumb sucking. It makes it really HOT. That has helped him succeed as well.

Xavier being the smarty pants that he is reminded us that he doesn't suck his thumb and should get a toy too. So we made a chart for him to work on listening. He picked out "Dino Adventure" as his reward toy. He has been doing a good job on his chart as well. It does make life easier to remind him of his chart and getting his toy.

My haircut

Today I was blow drying my hair and it just hit me all of a sudden how sick I am of my hair. So luckly, this afternoon my stylist could get me in. She cut off about 4 1/2 inches. I actually think this is the shortest I've had my hair as an adult.

When I went to pick Damon up from school he didn't notice my hair until Xavier told him...typical boy. So I asked the boys what Daddy was going to say...Xavier said, "That you look hot." Damon started laughing and said, "Momma can't be hot until the baby is out of her tummy." Then they started fighting about it.

Xavier is now my favorite.

Update: Damon's Day at School

Just wanted to share the sweet email that Damon's teacher sent to Grandma Little . The subject of the email was, "Your wonderful grandson."

I was so excited to share with you Damon's sentences on Friday--and then the email has not been working until today! He said "I already told her." But you need to hear the story anyway!!

We were making 3 letter words with magnetic letters. Damon was actually struggling a little but doing it. All at once he said, "I'm going to make sentences." I'm thinking OK but I hope we can feel successful. He proceeded (with a little help with saw) to write he is big and he saw a ant. Then he figured out that he could use words from that sentence to write others. So he wrote these sentences with just a little help. the ant saw a fly. the fly saw a dog, the dog saw a mat, a dog saw the sun. Sorry, no capitals, we just had the lower case ones out! We celebrated with a couple other teachers and took his picture for his portfolio. I was so excited!! It was one of those light bulb moments that don't happen very often. He is amazing!! Thanks for sharing him with me. Karla
