WSU Basketball Camp and Wichita Adventures

Damon loves basketball and really wanted to participate in some basketball camps this summer.  Unfortunately all the ones in the Manhattan areas were going to be held while he was out of town.  So we drove down to Wichita to go to WSU's camp.   He loved it and had a great time even though he didn't know anyone else that was there.

The camp was Monday - Thursday from 1-5:15pm which meant that I had to entertain 4 little ones while he was gone.

Monday we went to lunch, Hobby Lobby, Bass Pro Shop and still spent over 2 hours in Target.

Tuesday we went to the zoo with my sister and Jax and Grandma Lois.

I think this is my favorite picture of Adley ever.

The boys...

The last hour we were there it started to rain on us.  Lois values her hairstyle a lot.

Wednesday morning before the camp we went to Chuck E Cheese with Charla and Jax and Jimmie's Diner for lunch.  My boys had never been there so we needed a milkshake!  After I took Damon to camp the rest of us went to Kohls and WalMart and then back to Charla's.  The boys all spent the night with Charla that night and had a great time.

Little miss was so tired she actually fell asleep all on her own in the little toddler bed and at some point fell out of bed and stayed asleep.

The last day of camp they did a little awards ceremony and Wu showed up.  Although I love WSU, Wu does not bring the same excitement as Willie the Wildcat.

And on the way home they all fell asleep...especially this little one who slept the whole way.

And we had a great time visiting with my parents.  I didn't realize until after that it had really been awhile since we have gone to El Dorado for a visit.  We always go for holidays or some family event but we hadn't been in awhile to just go so it was great to spend some time with the family and in the hometown.  Although I think El Dorado has the worse sidewalks.  I ran a couple days and I pretty much had to keep my head down the whole time so I wouldn't trip!

While the Big Guys are Away

So Adam, Damon and Xavier all went to scout camp for a week.

And the 4 of us got to stay home!

We had fun teasing the big boys that we would be eating pizza and ice cream every night.  And although we didn't have it every night, I didn't cook all week and that was pretty sweet for me!

One day Sonic milk shakes were half price all day...so we had to treat ourselves for dinner one night.  This was actually my milk shake that Adley took control over and wouldn't give back.  It was just a medium but seeing her hold it it looks ginormous!

My friend Malinda and I made a coffee table too...because that's what you do when your husbands are gone.

Father's Day

We celebrated Father's day with our traditional bbq.  Unfortunately Adam's parent's weren't able to make it but my parents came up.  Why I didn't take pictures I have no idea.  But we grilled chicken and had roasted potatoes and mint oreo brownies for dessert.

Aiden was in the process of losing a tooth, so he is wiggling it in every picture....he did get it pulled by dinner time.

Aiden loves to find something to wrap up for Adam.  This year, he took one of his old baby blankets and wrapped up a stuffed animal, Horton (which is actually mine!) and gifted it to Adam.  He had it wrapped and hiding for well over a week.

We also go Adam a new hammock for the back yard and his mom gave him some yummy goodies too.

and that would be Xavier...

Aiden the Builder

After building the tree house with Adam, Aiden wanted to build something again.  So he took the scraps and decided to build a shoe rack for Adley.  He already realizes that girls have a need for many more shoes then boys and wanted Adley's shoes to all of a place of their own.  What a dreamy guy!

Dr Appointment

So since Damon and Xavier are going to Boy Scout Camp they had to have physicals , so we went ahead and did Xavier's 11 yr old physical, Damon's 12 yr old physical and Damon's school physical too.  And of course the only appointment we could get was at 8:30 in the morning!  So we all got up and got ready and of course its POURING RAIN but we made it in time.  Needless to say we were pretty packed in that examination room with the nurse practitioner, the dr and the med student!  And LOUD you can not even imagine how loud it was in there with all of us.

After we had errands to run and Damon and Xavier were suppose to have golf but it was cancelled because of the rain so we celebrated a successful morning with lunch at ER.  We had all earned it!

Grayson's ER Visit

So right as our party guests arrive Damon comes and gets me because Grayson was hurt.  When I found him (he went running off to hide), the back of his shirt was covered in blood.  He and Damon had been wrestling around and he fell on the corner of a chair and got a nice gash.

Charla and I took him to the er and thankfully he just needed a couple staples and nothing more.   And he handled it pretty well.

About 10 days later he and I went back to the ER to get the staples removed.  It had healed perfectly so we celebrated with a trip to Baskin Robbins for an ice cream from Grandpa Prewit.

Xavier's Birthday

 Our Xavier turned 11!
We celebrated a few days early with a bbq and cake and ice cream.  He wanted a simple cake design which made me love him even more.

However, right when everyone arrived, Grayson got hurt so Charla and I had to rush him to the ER so he could get stitches (see next blog post).  So Adam carried on as host and took pictures for me.

We made a vanilla cake and Almond Joy cupcakes.  They were awesome.

Unfortunately all of his presents that I ordered didn't arrive in time for his party but thankfully came on his actually birthday.  So after his birthday dinner of Ribs and mashed potatoes, we had another little party with presents.

He was pretty excited for his Xavier University gear.

Adley Lynn - 15 Months

Miss Adley is 15 months old.  Ever since she has started eating table foods over baby food, she has grown a lot!  She is 32in in height, 90 percentile and 22lbs 9oz in weight which is 46 percentile.  So she is tall and skinny, I don't know where she gets it from!

She is pretty funny little girl who loves attention.  She is quite the dare devil too.  She is our first child that likes to be tossed about.

She is a climber, daily we have to get her off the dining table.

We had her diaper box just setting off to the side and she kept crawling up on it to sit and eat a snack. This girl also loves potato chips.

Some healthy Shakeology for breakfast.

Aiden sharing his grape juice popsicle he made.

I received this little cabinet for my birthday and she loved crawling inside of it.
