Take that Pier 1!

Pier 1 has this painting for sale and I really liked it. I thought it would be perfect in the dining room. It was on sale for $400! Not to be cheap, but I can think of a lot of things to buy for $400 and not one of hem involves a painting from Pier 1.
So with a 40% off coupon from Hobby Lobby, some acrylic paint I already own, and a free Sunday afternoon, I painted my own stupid tree with a green border! I also added some gold to my paint so the tree would shimmer a bit.



I also painted the upstairs bathroom. Since it is orange, it makes me very happy!
I'm working on the boys room now, hoping to have it done before Thanksgiving!
